Regan McLeod (Zoe Naylor)

Regan McLeod is Jodi's cousin — the middle daughter of Jack McLeod's estranged brother Hugh.

Regan is a trained geologist who had a busy career in the mining industry. Regan's first visit to Drovers Run was soon after the death of her father, when she threatened to take a mining lease over the land. Her motivation was revenge; she always believed her father had been forced off Drovers Run by her uncle when they were young men.

However, Dave and Tess helped Regan realise that the truth was more complicated than this. Regan did not pursue the claim and, after a short but passionate affair with Dave, left Drovers on good terms with Tess and the other women.

Twelve months later, she has returned. This time, she's a changed woman.

Regan is carrying a terrible guilt. She had been duty manager at a mine when some workers where killed in an underground accident. Although cleared of any wrongdoing by an official inquest, Regan blamed herself for the miners' deaths. Regan was shattered by the experience and fled to Drovers Run — the only sanctuary she could think of under the circumstances.

Regan was initially met by suspicion and confusion, especially from Kate, Dave and Stevie. Jodi was prepared to give her cousin refuge on Drovers Run, and over time Regan earned the trust and friendship of the women.

Although she arrived with no intention of staying long term, Regan was seduced by the camaraderie on Drovers Run and decided to stay. Regan triumphed in her struggle to become a productive member of the Drovers Run team. She rekindled her relationship with Dave — for a while, at least — and has continued to be a great support to Jodi and Stevie in all areas.

Recently, Regan's world was rocked by the arrival of Tayler Geddes, the daughter of one of the workers killed in the mine accident. She is determined to help Tayler rebuild her life — if Tayler will let her.
